I already paste the .apk file in the platform-tools folder

  6. That means you have to first copy the address where your downloaded file that is 'adt bundle-windows-x86' folder is located. In my PC I have this address - 'C:\Users\Tejas\Downloads\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20130522\adt-bundle-windows-x86-20130522\sdk\platform-tools'

You have to copy Your address.

    1) Go to platform-tools folder. Then copy that folder address from your address bar.
    2) Then you've to just copy your app (.apk file) in platform tools folder (Skip this step if you had copied it there earlier)
    3) Open Cmd and then type (Without quotes) 'cd(Space)(Address that you had copied earlier)'
    4) Press Enter.

    And Go ahead ! :)

    3. Hello, Yordanka !
You have to select 'Android 4.4.2 Level 19' That's okay
and then you have to press 'Launch' button in Launch options.
It seems that you have given too much RAM for your emulator try to give some low amount of RAM According to your PC's RAM.
If you will see your 1st photo there is a warning message at the end of 'Edit virtual device (AVD)' dialogue box. (Please see your 1st photo)
The message is - 'On Windows emulating RAM Greater than 786 MB may fail depending on the system load....'
So I recommend you to set RAM 785MB in your emulator.

Launching the emulator, I keep getting the black screen with "Android" in the middle. But nothing happens. Target is 4.2.2., RAM 1024. I have Windows 7 with 3G RAM.

Any idea what the problem can be?

    1. Hey, Robert
You have 3GB RAM right? Then edit RAM of your emulator to 2568 or any other but it should be less than 2995 mb.
Those Android words on black screen are shining right? If they aren't shining then reply me.

      Delete
    2. Hey Tejas,

Sorry for the late response. I tried it, 2568 (Nexus 7), but now the screen stays black, without te Android letters...

Then I tried it with 2048 (Nexus 5), same result.

Then with 1024 again with Nexus 7, now the Android letters appear shining indeed. But nothing happens again, waited for 15 minutes.

Then 1024 with Nexus S, Android letters appeared shining, and android seems to be starting after a while. Only now it says "connect your charger". In the config.ini I changed hw.battery=no into hw.battery=yes and restarted the device. Shining letters again and android started, but very very slow...
I can install Crime City and open it. But it's going to slow to play, it sticks on creating an avatar.

Is there something I can do to make it faster?

      Thanx. :-)

  19. How do you fix the following error on https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.evgstudios.the_secret_fleet ?

    Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_CONTAINER_ERROR]

Several sources say you should change the AndroidManifest.xml text android:installLocation="preferExternal" to android:installLocation="auto" . When opening the apk in 7-zip and changing the text using notepad (keeping the spaces) it changes to Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_INVALID_APK] . In my case it was all instead of preferExternal, but I assumed it was the same fix.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Hello, Yur le!

      If it's showing 'Failure [INSTALL_FAILED_CONTAINER_ERROR]'
Then that means you would not able to run in on Android SDK!
Even if you edit the AndroidManifest.xml It won't work!
But try to recompile the app again carefully.

**Note - Editing AndroidMainfest can damage the .apk file!
'android:installLocation='preferExternal' means You're going to install the app in External drive like Sd Card. Since Android SDK Creates a Fake SD Card to run apps on pc, I think you should not edit AndroidMainfest.xml!
'android:installLocation=auto' means you're saying 'Let the system decide where to install the .apk file according to 'Permissions'. We'll Find the Solution very soon!

Any question again? Ask us! We're always Happy To Help!

    4. Solution 1 = Try to run Android SDK from android.bat in tools folder.
Solution 2 = Make sure your java\bin directory is in your path statement before the windows\system32 directory. The SDK Manager uses java and it was finding the one in the system32 folder.
In a CMD window, you can run 'where java'. Don't forget to restart your CMD after changing the path variable for checking.
